Our 2013 Malbec grapes are handpicked from our estate vineyards in the skyscraper heights of the Uco Valley in Mendoza. Vines in this region face harsh winters and warm summers with mild days and very cold nights. The vines are planted in a rocky, sandy loam with medium to low fertility, good drainage, and low organic material content.
In the glass, our Malbec is a deep red-purple color with blue reflections. The deep color is reflective of the aromas, intense dark stone fruit reminiscent of candied plum and dried figs is followed by chocolate and vanilla notes imparted by time spent in French oak. A dry entry greets the palate upon first sip, complemented by silky tannins and a juicy mouthfeel. The finish is fresh and persistent, calling for another sip.
