Gran Reserva Malbec
The Malbec grapes for this special wine are handpicked from two blocks on our estate vineyards - Lot 29, planted in 2006, and Lot 40, planted in 2000.
Vines in this region face harsh winters and warm summers with mild days and very cold nights. The vines are planted in a rocky, sandy loam with medium to low fertility, good drainage, and low organic material content and salinity levels.
The 2013 Gran Reserva Malbec is a seductive deep crimson red in the glass. As you swirl, a potpourri of cinnamon and tobacco mingle with notes of candied cherry and raspberry. Upon sipping, your palate is met by an impressive velvety mouthfeel. Flavors of boysenberry meld with spicy undertones and hints of dried fruit, leading into a long, supple finish. Excellent aging potential.
