Sourced from the Zanini Ranch with an average vine age of 35 years. Aromas of raspberry, fig, and butterscotch. Flavors of cranberry, black cherry, and Baker's chocolate with excellent structure. Ideal for aging.
Fiddletown is nearly 200 feet higher in elevation than most of the other vineyards in Amador County’s Shenandoah Valley. Situated in a bowl, the vineyards experience daytime high and low temperatures that are typically 5-10 degrees cooler than other vineyards, and have the longest growing season. The cooler temperatures help sustain beautiful, crisp acidity during the maturation process. Wines from the Fiddletown AVA tend to be bright and intensely fruity.
